Greek Fires Video View

The human side of this Greek national tragedy may be the story of 2007. There is stressed emotion visible in every image from stills to video. The first video is raw footage from the fire front in Grilos. The second is a montage to music and the final video news based from yesterday 8/27.
(Warning: If you like bunny rabbits don't watch this video.)

Really horrible fires here.
It's the dead people, the dead animals, the burned trees and the burned unique historical monuments like Olympia.
I don;t blame those who may put the fires, however, some say the found rabbits burned with a cloth tied on their tail. That means that someone put fire on the cloth and let the rabbit go to burn the forest.
I blame more those who dodn;t do enough to stop it.
And thank you for posting about this terrible fires in my country this summer.

ps. i have a link to your blog in mine and you can see some photos in http://botsalo.blospot.com/2007/08/blog-post_26.html

Thank you for the extensive and very informative material on the Greek fires. We need all the help we can get, and making as many aware is crucial. Was reading yesterday that some of the trees on Mt. Taygetos in the southern Peloponnese will need 200 yrs to grow back.
We've had a terrible summer in Greece and the acts of bravery by Greek and foreign firefighters have been beyond words. Firefighters should be nominated people of the year, every year, everywhere.

best wishes,
Spyro
