Big Sur Fire Causes Concern for Condor Keepers
Biologists are working around the smoke and flames in Big Sur keeping watch on the small California Condor population inhabiting the Ventana Wilderness. The Ventana Wilderness Society, the only non profit organization releasing condors in California, is monitoring the flock that call Big Sur home. The group thinks one female condor has been lost to the fire. I support the group's work on behalf of these remarkable birds.
