California Fires Burn Into the Night July 8

Numerous smaller towns in Northern California remain evacuated tonight as weather changed the composition of once near contained blazes. One poster on Wildlandfire.com, just released for the night from the fire near Platina wrote the every mountain east of Redding is "nuked".

Smoke shrouds the entire northern half of the state from Lake Tahoe to Eureka.
Be proud of your firefighters California.

Extremely proud! Thanks for all of the updates, I've been linking to you from my site so people can see all of the great information along with great visuals.

I have a family member who is a firefighter, on the fires up north, and I couldn't be more proud!
