Marek Fire Bears Down On The San Fernando Valley

I don't have updated acreage figures but Los Angeles local TV shows the Marek Fire bumping against the 210 (Foothill) Freeway near the 118 (Reagan) Freeway interchange near Lopez Canyon.

In these winds aircraft offer little help. The wind dictates fire behavior. Spotting is occurring and structures are involved.

This is a developing story....

Being around 10-20 miles away...
I do notice the smell.
Which is not a good thing. Luckily I got my gas mask.
