Freeway Complex Claims Luxury Apartment Complex
The Freeway Complex has burned most if not all of the Cascades Apartment Complex in Anaheim Hills. As I noted in the post below the fire outran fire personnel.
Firefighters have reached the scene and are throwing water on the burning buildings however the entire complex has succumbed to flames.
The images below are from Google Maps streetview.

Mike,
My boyfriend lives at Cascade Apts. Do we know which ones were destroyed and if any are still standing? Please let me know if you hear anything.
Thank you~!

Here is the deal. They say 50 apartments were burned in the complex. I cannot find out how many apartments are in The Cascades.
It does appear from the overhead imagery that there are more than 50 apartments in the complex.
Best of luck to you and your boyfriend!

As my daughter's friend lives in this complex, I've been trying to determine if her unit on Wood Cove has survived. In checking out the apartment rental sites, it appears that there might be approximately 250 in the entire complex. It's my understanding that the complex spreads across a few streets. It would be great if someone could identify the involved streets. If it is 50 units out of 250, then I'm feeling hopeful that many people will be going home!
Great news with regard to my previous post!

My daughter just received a text from her friend who said that her unit was intact! As it was a simple text, we don't know any details yet. Very sad situation, but certainly not as bad as it has been reported by the media. Sending our family's best wishes. God bless all concerned!

Good news for you! I just found out a somewhat distant relative lost an apartment in this fire. I don't yet know if it was The Cascades.
My newphew and his wife live at The Cascades, on Whitewater Drive. They went there today to find their building was not touched but the building next to theirs was gutted. We are so relieved, but it is all so very sad. Here in Texas the hurricanes provide more warning. Just as devastating but more time to gather precious possessions before evacuating.
